Very few artists can capture the impressionist essence and understanding of the intangibles - light, color and warmth as does Czech artist Jan Safarik here in the present work, “The Little Bathers”. After studying at the academy in Prague, his hometown, Czeh artist Jan Šafarík was sent to Bosnia, from where he deserted in 1908 to return to Paris in 1909, where he settled and gained public recognition, exhibiting at theSalon, between 1909 and 1914.
