The ancient game of Lotto inspired the game we call "Bingo" today. In the late 19th century, Lotto helped young children learn to recognized shapes and symbols, and to spell. Many game makers produced versions of Lotto, in varying degrees of difficulty for various age groups. McLoughlin's version is a number game appropriate for the entire family, as shown on the box cover.
