Prime example of French Artist Ernest Chateignon's favorite subject.  Chateignon was born in 1887 and exhibited at the Salon since 1867.  Through his painting, he always marries peasant existence representations of nature.  As counter to the industrial revolution which was emerging at the time, and, In celebration of those more closely connected to the natural world, Chateignon's favorite painting subject was the harvest.
